Moving or not moving?

Now now, maybe this blog has gathered some readers.. Maybe not. I really don't know as I don't watch the meters of "how many people have visited your blog". In any case, I have been thinking of moving over to blogspot. Why? Well it's much much much better in a way to use than this place is, more of everything really to make your blog unique. So yes, I will be moving and taking these posts with me.

Adios in any case.

Wednesday Ramblings

So in the WoW Insiders daily topic.. Of yesterday actually, they covered the least loved class, which after their research was Warlock.. Now I do not agree with that, seeing that I have 85 Warlock I really can't relate to what people say. Maybe it's because it's a bit more complicated than these two or three button classes that people so like.

In any case, I thought to go over the classes and my most humble opinions about them. I haven't played them all, but I have tanked and healed enough to know what each class should be able to do and what they should avoid, I have also seen a bit of everything while tanking, healing or doing DPS and so I base my opinion on that. So let's start, shall we..

1. Mage

Your nice one to three button class. Honestly probably the most easiest yet one of the most useful classes in the game. As a Warlock I want to scream and shout how unfair this is but at the same time I value this class. Since the class itself is so easy, no matter which spec you decide to use, you really have no excuse to stand in the fire or do your job in general well, unless your IQ is less than 30. In all honesty though, this class is a bit too easy, but it is the idiot test class out there, if you fail as a mage, you fail as every other class.

Levelling mage is not hard and if you spec right you even get a personal minio- I mean pet that does your work for you. Your spells even when you start are quite nice and the rotation is easy to figure out. Also there's the conjured mana cakes and what not. You're useful in everywhere, simply because of your portals and tables. Enjoy the easy ride but do it well while you are at it.

2. Death Knight

As we all know who have a Death Knight, it is really a faceroll class, not quite as much as a mage but it is still just that. The levelling is easy, no matter which spec you take it's quite easy (Unholy not withstanding). Tanking with it is quite easy and DPS:ing with it is quite easy.. If you are satisfied with passable that is. Death Knights have remenduous potential as tanks and DPSrs, but so few harness this potential right and that is what really messes with my mind. Why not take everything out from your class what you can? I have seen bad DK's and good DK's, but very very rarely have I seen Brilliant DK. Sometimes it happens, when people bother to read just a bit and gem and enchant right. Just gemming right and reforging will rise your DPS some 5k at least. So where is the problem with this class I wonder..

3. Paladins

If there is one class out there that I loathe it is Paladin. Paladin tanks are something that very rarely succeed, even though paladin as well is a very easy class to play. Paladin healers are not much better in general. In paladins there's really only two ways to go, either you learn your class and you are brilliant or you don't and you suck. There isn't such a thing as a ok paladin. Try and understand this. It's a shame that in general the bad pally's far outweight the brilliant ones.

4. Warlock

Now here is something I can write on and on and on and on about. My first that I played with purpose was and IS a warlock. A Forsaken Warlock so I do know what I am talking about. There's nothing easy though in playing a Warlock. Out rotation is longer than Santa's beard and as we have a spell to every situation, learning your spellbook is something that you should put your mind onto. At first it's ridiculously easy to get good numbers on to your recount as far as damage goes, not to even start to talk about DPS. It's ridiculously high numbers as we all know. Yet the higher you get the lower this number goes and it starts to take skill and few hours getting familiar with your rotation.. Which there actually isn't one as far as destro goes. We have a nice list of importance which comes first and that's it. Now try and get from that what you need. Also reforging and gemming can be a bother and choosing the right demon and what not.. Actually now that I think about it, it's not something too many people would go trough with at least if they are a casual player.

5. Druid

Druid tanks are my one and only love in this game. For some reason they usually know what to do or something in the class itself allows them the freedom to do a few or more mistakes that can't be seen from the outside. They rarelydrop aggro, they rarely die and they are very well balanced class as far as I have observed. Maybe the class just isn't popular with the noobs or something else just stops this class from going south. Whatever it is, I do not know but I hope it stays in Pandaria.

6. Shamans

Good healers and well balanced DPS class.. The only problem that I have noticed as both healer and a tank that they tend to be a bit too forward minded. Seems that they are always in a hurry and they gather a sizable chunk of the aggro, which really annoyes me as a tank and really worries me as a healer. Also Shaman tanking is not something I can recommend.. And really if Blizzard had wanted Shaman tank.. Oh wait no. Warlocks can tank.. Shamans can't, get over it.

7. Rogues

Probably the most horrible class to level. Because of stealth only you avoid most of the mobs which would give you xp, you can compensate by taking a gathering profession like mining or herbology but it really isn't the same. Everytime you don't kill a mob you loose around 40 to 200 xp depending on your level and area and what not. In any case what compensates this is the nice factor of skills that are very useful. I'm not a fan of doing lowlevel dungeons, simply becuase questing is far more faster when it comes to levelling as long as you know the area, and that is a race thing mostly. In any case back to rogues which is that you very quickly start to understand and use this class effectively.. You have to if you wish to stay alive.

8. Priests

Not one of the easiest classes to level unless you pick shadow and still it's not easy. Casters in general are wuite ineffective to level wimply becuase of their high mortality rate. Cloth wearing isn't really a good thing when you are going to die from three hits eventually. Holy and Disc are better for levelling.. If you are willing to level doing dungeons. PvP levelling isn't something I am too familiar with in lower levels so that is a mystery to me, but this versaitle class is likely to excel in any case. Healing is nice and fun.. Until you get to 80 as Holy, after that you should in all honesty to start using Flasks and Foods that give you a nice stat boost, but unless you really wish to torture yourself and your group or you have a few maxed out priests in your backpocket I don't recommend using Holy as a healing spec after 80 until you get some Very good gear or learn to be as mana concervative as a stone.

9. Hunter

Or huntard in lowlevels. they steal aggro and they do it with style. If you take beastmastery as your spec your way will be easy, simply point your pet to a right direction (Towards the mob you idiot!) and you can autohit afk the rest of the time. It's a good class if you are one for multitasking. In any case, the other specs are a bit more complicated and unless you aren't willing to sacrifice some effort.. Well you'll be passable, but you'll never be great.

10. Warrior

I hate Warriors as a healer. They are a pain in my figurative ass if I am to be honest. They are easy to level, but it is rather time consuming so if you are one who gets bored easily I do not recommend this class for you. In any case, why do I hate them? So very few of them are using their interrupts, cooldowns and so forth and for some reason they seem to take in massive amounts of damage even while DPSing and tend to be dying half of the time. So of course I need to concentrate onto to them more than the other group as they usually also dominate the damage done meters. As a fellow tank they are a good companion and mages use them as their personal pets.. A good overall class.. With bladestorm which makes them invincible more often than not.

Lucky Seven

And today is the seventh day in our little challenge.. I am enjoying this way too much for my own good.. It's really way too over board at times how much I can get attached to little things like this.. Must also be because I simply can't back down from a challenge. I'm one of those "Challenge Accepted" - people after all.

In any case, todays topic is.. *Drumming*

Day 07 – The reason behind your blog’s name

o_O Well isn't that something new.. Who makes up all these I could ask but as we all know who that someone is I am not going to bother. In any case, let us continue.

The reason is simple in all honesty. I loved my Death Knight when I did this blog and thought that Death Knight would be the class for me. It's really not as Priest is really more my thing.. As are mages of all the classes out there. Rogue is fun as well. In any case, back to the name shall we? Death Knights deal with runemagic and so I thought it fitting, runes also are ancient and one of the first things that writing was commensed in ages past. So it fits on that regard as well.

In any case, there you have the reason behing the name.

3 times 2 is 6!

Good evening all of you who happen to read this text - and to you who don't happen to read it - today is time for day 6 in our quest for the challenge of 20 days of WoW blogging. And todays sybject is:

Day 06 – Your workplace/desk (photo and/or description)

Well isn't this just a coincidence, we had in the guild forum a topic about these things and I'll include a picture when I get around to find my camera from somewhere in here. In any case, a description of my desk.

I have two actually, each two meters long and around half a meter wide, black wood with white metal legs. They stand in the farthest corner of my room covering most of two walls, making a corner unit of sorts. In the actual corner I have a very simplistic black lamp, other than that mu desk is decorated with school books, essay, reading material and two laptops along with the occasional calculator (I have several) and the empty battery can.

Pens and pencils along with notebooks of all sizes along with binders and leisure reading.. Well I have more than few stacks of those in here. Then random techonolgy like my phone, mouse and so forth can be usually seen along with my cigarets and more than few lighters on the way.

There you have the most boring description of a desk than a person can have, I am after all a student and so school takes up most of my thing. in any case, I'll write a new one tomorrow as is customary.

Day Five of our little challenge.

And here we are again, you get to know more about me and what makes me tick and I get to hear more about you, sounds wonderful? It is. In any case, let us continue to our day five challenge topic.

Day 05 – Favourite item(s) in game

Well well. Ain't that just something. Favorite items is such a broad term and this little line above doesn't specify at all what we are looking in here.

I generally do not  have "favorite items" per say, I do store a lot of weapons (I have 48 weapons in my bank) and armor and mats and what not in my bank. Some items I have been given as a gift, like for example Stratholme Lily which I held in regard.

In any case my favorite item of all times would definately be Witch-Hunter's Harvester. It was made to me when I just dinged 85 with my Death Knight by a friend of mine and I had wanted it what felt like forever. I mean.. It's a big ass Scythe, even on a Blood Elf female model (I usually prefer Forsaken) it looks big and blue and frosty and Death Knightly.
